Brand
Baracuta
Baracuta is a British clothing brand, known for having developed the so-called Harrington jacket, also called G9. Founded in 1937 by John and Isaac Miller, they began work on a jacket designed for golfers.
The new building was equipped with the innovative zip and protect golfers from the rain was added to the head of the characteristic cape affixed to the back, called back vent umbrella.
The Miller drew a high neck collar dog-ear, and they provided buttons. Finally, they added the rubber bands at the bottom of the sleeves to cover the players during the impact with the ball and drew large front pockets, closable with the button, so designed to hold two golf balls.
The Miller Brothers is then devoted to the search for a fabric for the lining of the G9 that could make the garment more recognizable. The jacket became known as the G9, as G Golf and 9 as the 9-hole course of play.
