The Hoka One One Mafate Speed 4 are women's trail running shoes designed for technical terrain. This model is the synthesis of the distinctive features of the EVO Mafate and Mafate Speed series. It boasts a breathable, single-layer jacquard mesh upper combined with a two-part PROFLY midsole that includes the lightest, most responsive Hoka foam positioned directly under the foot for responsive cushioning. A reinforced heel and rubber toe box offer support and protection. The outsole is made with Vibram Megagrip technology with Litebase and 5mm cleats for optimal traction. The model is declared vegan and comes in Papaya/Real Teal colour combinations, offering a balance of lightness, comfort and performance

Brand
HOKA Hoka One one
The brand first made a name for itself in the running industry by producing shoes with oversized soles, dubbed "maximalist" because of the extra cushion, as opposed to the minimalist shoe trend that was gaining popularity when the company was founded in 2009.
The initial goal of the prototype was to improve endurance race times by designing a shoe that would allow for faster downhill running.
Once completed, it was discovered that the shoes were able to improve uphill running as well, helping an athlete tackle 100km in difficult conditions, thus improving the performance of all runners.
