Champion

Three members of the Feinbloom family combine their vision to create an exciting new sportswear company in Rochester, NY. The company was founded in 1919 under the name Knickerbocker Knitting Mills. Champion partners with Moe's Sport Shop by presenting collegiate sweatshirts and t-shirts featuring the University of Michigan crest.

This gives birth to collegiate apparel as we know it, including the first ever hoodie. The hoodie was designed and developed for practical reasons, as a garment to be worn by athletes while warming up between games or during practice sessions.

As a testament to Champion's rich heritage, the Reverse Weave hoodie is displayed at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) as part of the exhibition "Items: Is fashion modern?", a retrospective of the most significant fashion items in modern society. In 2018, the Champion hoodie becomes part of the permanent collection.

In 2020 Chiara Ferragni and Champion Europe joined forces with an energetic SS20 capsule collection.
