Petzl

Petzl's adventure began with Fernand Petzl's passion for caving, a passion to which he put his talents as a craftsman.

The result was expertise in the design and manufacture of solutions for ascending, abseiling, belaying and advancing in the dark. In 1970, the first Fernand Petzl products were manufactured in the workshop in Saint-Nazaire-les-Eymes (Isère, France).

Since then, the Petzl company, created in 1975, has managed to grow and become an international group, while preserving a family dimension and the passion that animated Fernand Petzl.
